The public is invited to a wine tasting featuring handcrafted, small-batch wines that are unique. Some are familiar varietals like Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon; others are made from Cabernet Franc, Tempranillo, Zinfandel, or blends, but all the wines show off the unique terroir of Los Altos Hills. If that sounds like your glass of wine, then Vines & Wines 2021 is for you. The event takes place October 10th, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the courtyard at Los Altos Hills Town Hall, 26379 Fremont Road, Los Altos Hills.
This year marks the 7th Vines & Wines, which is sponsored by Hills 2000 – Friends of the Hills & Town of Los Altos Hills. The Hills 2000 organization is a non-profit engaged in protecting, preserving, and enhancing the rural character of the Town of Los Altos Hills.
At last count, Hills 2000 found 115 vineyards in the community.
The winemakers donate all the wine. To participate, vintners must either grow their grapes or make their wine within the town’s borders.
Approximately 24 vintners will be on hand in October, pouring 36 different wines. Small bites will be offered to accompany the tastings.
New winemakers are encouraged to contact the vintner coordinator:
Ann Duwe at (650) 302-0417 or annduwe422@gmail.com.
Only 250 people will be admitted to the event. It is an adult only event; no animals permitted. Space is limited; purchase advance tickets today; the Vines & Wine event usually sells out. No refunds. Register today!
